LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 18, with TT Games and Warner Bros. Games releasing a new launch trailer ahead of the game’s arrival on Nintendo’s latest console.
The LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight Switch 2 version will support TV, handheld and tabletop play, allowing players to follow Bruce Wayne’s journey from his early days to becoming Gotham’s Dark Knight across different play styles.
Pre-orders for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions are now available. Players who pre-order either version on Nintendo Switch 2 will receive The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch, based on the acclaimed comic book series.
The Deluxe Edition will also include additional content when it launches on September 18. This includes the Mayhem Collection, which adds Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters, along with a new story mission set around their escape from Arkham Asylum.
The collection also introduces Mayhem Mode, which allows players to cause chaos across Gotham, alongside the Sinister Pack containing DC Super-Villain themed outfits, Batcave items and a vehicle.
Deluxe Edition owners will additionally receive the Legacy Collection, featuring new suits, vehicles and Batcave items inspired by the Batman: Arkham games, Batman Beyond and a party music themed pack. Physical Deluxe Edition copies will also include a LEGO Retro Videogame Batman Minifigure while supplies last.

A new Absolute difficulty setting will also arrive as a free update for all owners on September 18. It will sit above the existing Caped Crusader and Dark Knight difficulties and is designed to demand greater precision, awareness and combat skill.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Mayhem Collection will also launch on those platforms on September 18 for Deluxe Edition owners, while Standard Edition players can purchase the Deluxe Edition Upgrade to access both the Mayhem and Legacy Collections.
The game follows Bruce Wayne’s transformation into Batman, drawing on material from Batman films, television series, comics and games. Alongside its open world, the adventure features Gotham’s DC villains, Batman’s allies and TT Games’ trademark LEGO humour.
Players can also unlock additional in-game items through Warner Bros. Games, HBO Max and DC Universe Infinite account links, including the Golden Age Batsuit, Black Lantern Batsuit, Dark Knights of Steel Batsuit and Comics Rack Batcave item.
