A new leak has claimed that the rumoured LEGO PlayStation 1 set will be accompanied by a free Astro Bot build for early buyers. The information comes from Brick Tap, a source with a reliable track record for LEGO leaks, although neither LEGO nor Sony has officially announced the promotion.
According to Brick Tap, promotional set 40899 Astro Bot will be offered as a gift-with-purchase alongside set 72306 PlayStation. The offer is said to begin on 1 October through LEGO Stores and LEGO.com, while supplies last.
The source also says the PlayStation 1 set will include 1,911 pieces and carry a $160 price tag. Brick Tap noted that pricing remains subject to change and cited information from verified anonymous sources.
The latest report follows an earlier leak that identified set 72306 under the codename “Play.” That leak claimed the 18+ set would recreate the original PlayStation console and include at least a brick-built controller. It also listed a retail price of €159.99/$159.99, with a release planned for late 2026.
At the time of writing, LEGO and Sony have not confirmed the existence of the PlayStation 1 set or the reported Astro Bot gift-with-purchase.
