A fresh LEGO rumour has shed more light on the long-awaited PlayStation 1 set, with claims that it will launch on 1 October alongside an exclusive Astro Bot gift-with-purchase.
The latest details come from LEGO YouTuber Brick Clicker, who says the buildable console will be released as set 72306. According to the report, the model will contain 1,911 pieces and retail for around $160 or £140.
The rumoured set is said to recreate the original PlayStation console and include a brick-built controller. Brick Clicker also noted that additional game-related accessories could be included, although those details have not been confirmed.
According to the video, buyers who purchase the LEGO PlayStation 1 set at launch will also receive promotional set 40899, a buildable Astro Bot model, as a gift-with-purchase. The offer is expected to be available with qualifying purchases while supplies last.
The latest claims closely match an earlier report from Brick Tap, another source known for LEGO leaks. That report also stated that promotional set 40899 Astro Bot would be offered alongside set 72306 through LEGO Stores and LEGO.com beginning on 1 October.
