CI Games has announced that Lords of the Fallen II will now launch in Q1 2027, pushing the dark fantasy action RPG out of its previously planned late 2026 release window.
The update was shared by CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski, who said the decision was made following ongoing development work and feedback gathered from experienced Souls-like players.
According to Tyminski, the development team has been working closely with a dedicated Gameplay Feedback Team made up of veteran fans of the genre. Their input has helped identify areas where the game can be further improved before release.
“As development progresses, we have worked closely with the Gameplay Feedback Team, a dedicated group of seasoned Souls-like veterans within our Launch Creative Team,” Tyminski said. “Their valuable ongoing input, combined with the team’s vision, has identified meaningful opportunities to further refine and strengthen the overall experience.”
He added that the additional development time will be used for further integration, iteration and polishing.
“These enhancements will benefit from additional integration, iteration, and polishing time, enabling the team to deliver the highest possible quality at launch.”
Tyminski also noted that the revised release window places the game outside the crowded holiday season.
“This updated release window also strategically positions Lords of the Fallen II outside of a highly competitive holiday period, ensuring the game receives the dedicated attention it deserves.”
Despite the delay, CI Games said the team remains encouraged by the reception to recent reveals and is focused on delivering a strong follow-up to the series.
Lords of the Fallen II is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, with a release now planned for the first quarter of 2027.
