Nintendo has released the free Version 1.7.0 update for Mario Kart World on Nintendo Switch 2. The update expands the popular Knockout Tour mode with two new rally routes, giving players additional ways to race across the game’s interconnected world.
The patch also enhances Photo Mode by allowing players to decorate their screenshots with collected stickers and frames, offering more creative customization when capturing memorable moments.

Knockout Tour
New Routes
- Added the Drill Rally route.
- Connects Wario Shipyard and Bowser’s Castle.
- Added the Boomerang Rally route.
- Connects Salty Salty Speedway and Whistlestop Summit.
- New routes become available after clearing at least one Knockout Tour rally.
- Confirmed that additional Knockout Tour routes are planned for future updates.
Photo Mode
Sticker Support
- Added the ability to place collected stickers in Photo Mode.
- Stickers can be combined with frames to create customized photos.
- Supports sticker placement using:
- Touch controls
- Joy-Con 2 mouse controls
