Nintendo has released Update 1.7.0 for Mario Kart World, introducing two new rally options for Knockout Tour, expanded Photo Mode features, and a broad range of gameplay balance adjustments. The update also adds Thai language support and refines character, vehicle, and item mechanics across multiple game modes.
Alongside the new content, the patch fixes numerous issues affecting Time Trials, Online Play, course navigation, items, and collision detection, improving the overall racing experience across several tracks.

Character and Vehicle Balance

- Players can now hop immediately after being hit by:

- Adjusted Jump Boost activation while driving on water using motion controls.
- Improved behaviour after landing on rival racers.
- Increased dash duration after landing on opponents.
- Players can now cancel an incoming slipstream by braking before it activates.
- Adjusted item distribution from Item Boxes in:

- Players can now see when opponents are holding a Super Horn.
- Added a new ramp on the route between Airship Fortress and Bowser’s Castle.
Bug Fixes
General
- Fixed incorrect finish times in Time Trials.
- Time Trial ghosts affected by this issue may be removed from View Rankings without notice.
- Fixed gliding speed slowing after crashing immediately before take-off.
- Fixed players crashing after hitting Goombas or Para-Biddybuds they had launched.
- Fixed an issue preventing players from boarding helicopters during:
- Online Play
- Wireless Play
- Fixed Bob-omb throwing distance when riding:
- Standard Bike
- W-Twin Chopper
- Fixed multiple issues affecting Bullet Bill.
- Fixed Spiny Shells breaking after striking gold blocks or broadcast vans.
Course Fixes
Bowser’s Castle
- Fixed players slipping through walls.
Dandelion Depths
- Fixed players becoming stuck on an electronic sign.
- Fixed players falling off the course after using a Feather following a Jump Boost.
- Fixed players falling from rails after performing a Jump Boost while rail riding on the route from Cheep Cheep Falls.
Salty Salty Speedway
- Fixed players falling off the course after jumping on a parasol.
Koopa Troopa Beach to Dino Dino Jungle
- Fixed players falling off the course while using the shortcut route.
Peach Stadium
- Fixed an issue where two coins could be deducted simultaneously.
Shy Guy Bazaar
- Fixed players becoming stuck after colliding with a shop pole.
Dry Bones Burnout
- Fixed Dry Bones falling through the ground.
Wario Shipyard Routes
- Fixed players falling off the course while driving near the course edge on routes leading to:
- DK Pass
- Cheep Cheep Falls
Recovery Fixes
- Fixed several situations where players were repositioned too far ahead after falling off the course.
Additional Fixes
- Addressed several other issues to improve the overall gameplay experience.
