Marvel Tōkon Leak Reveals Unannounced Playable Character

A new Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls leak appears to have revealed an unannounced playable character just days before the game’s release.

Footage shared online shows The Champion, the game’s primary antagonist and final boss, seemingly being used as a playable fighter. If authentic, it would mark the final addition to the game’s launch roster ahead of release.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches on August 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. Developed by Arc System Works, the 2.5D tag-team fighter features 4v4 battles with a shared team health bar, cross-play multiplayer and a story-driven Episode Mode written by comic author Kieron Gillen.

Within the game’s story, The Champion of the Universe, also known as Tryco Slatterus, serves as the central antagonist. He hosts the “Challenge of the Champion” tournament, forcing Earth’s heroes and villains to battle one another before confronting him in the story’s final encounter. If the leak proves accurate, players may also be able to control the character outside of Episode Mode.
