The first pictures as well as an unboxing video of an alleged Meta Quest Pro have surfaced on the internet.
The Meta Quest Pro was apparently discovered in a hotel by a worker. It belonged to someone who previously stayed there. According to the hotel worker, the owner has yet to claim the headset.

The packaging appears to be in-line with the Meta Quest, so this leak does seem rather convincing. It says that this unit is not for resale, as it is an engineering sample. As one would expect, inside the box is the headset itself along with a pair of motion controllers. As of writing, there is no word on how the Pro edition of the Meta Quest will be priced and what its exact specifications are.

Previously, the headset manufacturer had announced that the Meta Quest 2 is set to receive a $100 price hike beginning from August 2022, increasing the standalone VR headset’s price to $399 and $499 for the 128GB and 256GB models, respectively.
According to the VR headset manufacturer, the company has been all-in on VR and invested billions of dollars to foster a healthy VR ecosystem since the early days of PC and mobile to today’s high-end standalone 6DOF headsets. With best-in-class hardware, action-packed games, and cutting-edge research on the way to really next-gen devices, it is now making a shift that will allow it continue to invest for the long haul and continue pushing the VR industry forward.
Since August, the 128GB and 256GB variants of Meta Quest 2 costs $399.99 USD and $499.99 USD, respectively. Additionally, for a limited time, every new headset purchase will come with a free download offer for the popular VR rhythm game, Beat Saber. Alongside these changes, Meta has also increased the prices for Meta Quest 2 accessories and refurbished units.
