Metroid: Ravenous Could Be Real as Nintendo Reportedly Submitted 41 Minutes of Rating Content

by Ali Haider

Fresh details have emerged surrounding the reported Metroid Ravenous rating in Brazil, adding to ongoing speculation that Nintendo could have multiple Metroid projects in development for Switch 2.

According to an update on the reported classification, Nintendo submitted 41 minutes of content to Brazil’s ratings board. The material was described as “trailer, teaser, or spots,” suggesting the submission consisted of promotional footage rather than gameplay or a full release build.

The update follows reports that a now-deleted listing from Brazil’s Ministry of Justice and Public Security referenced an unannounced title called Metroid: Ravenous. The listing was reportedly spotted by X user Necrolipe before it was removed. Based on the reported information, the game received a 12+ age rating, listed 2026 as its year of production, and identified the United States as its country of origin.

The latest claims have also drawn renewed attention to an earlier YouTube leak that suggested Metroid 6 and a Super Metroid remake were in development for Switch 2. Some fans believe the reported Brazilian submission adds weight to those earlier claims.

Adding to the speculation, Video Games Chronicle editor Andy Robinson commented on the reports, saying, “More than one of these are coming, I’m told. We eating, Metroid fans!”

Nintendo has yet to comment on the reported Metroid Ravenous classification or reveal any new Metroid projects for Switch 2.
