Capcom has revealed the resolution and performance settings for Monster Hunter Wilds on Nintendo Switch 2. The game will offer separate TV modes prioritising either resolution or frame rate, while handheld mode will run at 864p. All available modes target 30fps.
In TV Mode with Prioritise Resolution selected, Monster Hunter Wilds outputs at 2240 x 1260. Players can instead select Prioritise Framerate, which reduces the output resolution to 1920 x 1080 while retaining the 30fps target.
Handheld Mode runs at 1536 x 864. Ray tracing is disabled across the listed performance settings, while players can also choose whether to cap the frame rate at 30fps or remove the limit. Capcom states that applying a frame rate limit may help prevent rendering lag.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled to launch on December 4, 2026. The release will include previously released content and title updates, while also supporting online crossplay and platform-exclusive local wireless play.
Monster Hunter Wilds originally launched on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam. The Switch 2 version brings the latest mainline Monster Hunter game to Nintendo’s current-generation hardware.
