The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Patch 1.1 is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, addressing several crashes across different areas of the game. The update fixes crashes related to the map, camera, fast travel, quests, spell casting, and waiting.
The patch also resolves several gameplay issues, including random equipment being assigned during a quest, character jitter while Water Walking, an out-of-world exploit, and underwater breath depletion during loading screens. A visual issue affecting the Lucky Old Lady statue in Bravil has also been fixed.

Crash Fixes
- Fixed a crash when quickly using the Altar of Enchanting or Altar of Spell Making to add an enchantment or spell effect to an item.
- Fixed a crash when launching or navigating the player map.
- Fixed a crash when switching to the third-person camera view.
- Fixed a crash when loading into the Cheydinhal Fighters Guild during the Mystery at Harlun’s Watch quest.
- Fixed a crash when fast travelling after exiting Castle Bravil.
- Fixed a crash when idling outside in the Kvatch Oblivion realm.
- Fixed a crash when repeatedly casting a custom Bound spell and using the Wait option.
- Fixed a crash when using the Wait button while a bound weapon or armour magic effect expires.
Gameplay Fixes
- Fixed an issue where random items would be equipped when casting the Blessing of Talos spell during the Umaril the Unfeathered quest.
- Fixed an issue where moving in shallow water while under the Water Walking effect caused the character to jitter.
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to escape out of bounds at the Temple of the One during the Imperial Dragon Armor quest.
- Improved depletion of the player’s breath bar while underwater during loading screens.
Visual Fixes
- Fixed missing animations for the Lucky Old Lady statue in Bravil during the Honor Thy Mother quest.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was released on April 22, 2025, for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, followed by a Nintendo Switch 2 release on August 11, 2026. The game was co-developed by Virtuos and Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, with Patch 1.1 released on September 17, 2026.
