Motorslice Launches on PC, PS5, and Xbox

by Greg Martin

Top Hat Studios, in partnership with developer Regular Studio, has released Motorslice across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms. The parkour-focused action adventure title is now available worldwide, accompanied by a launch trailer showcasing its fast-paced movement and combat systems.

Motorslice centers on a protagonist known as P, a young woman navigating a hostile, post-apocalyptic world filled with dangerous machinery. What begins as a routine assignment quickly spirals into something far more ominous, as P encounters a massive structure and a threat that goes beyond standard mechanical hazards. Armed primarily with a chainsaw, she must rely on agility and precision to survive.

Traversal plays a key role in the experience, with gameplay built around fluid parkour mechanics. Players can run, climb, slide, crouch, and wall run through environments designed with a stark, brutalist aesthetic. Movement is closely tied to combat, allowing encounters to unfold seamlessly as players maneuver through hazards and enemies.

Combat revolves around facing a variety of hostile machines, ranging from smaller automated units to towering industrial bosses. Encounters are designed to be unforgiving, with a strong emphasis on timing and positioning. Larger enemies require players to climb onto them and dismantle them piece by piece, adding a vertical dimension to battles.

Beyond direct combat, the game introduces sections set within a vast megastructure, where tension is driven by atmosphere rather than action. In these segments, players must navigate dark corridors and oppressive spaces with limited resources, emphasizing vulnerability and environmental storytelling.

The narrative unfolds as P partners with a malfunctioning orb-like drone, gradually uncovering the nature of her mission and the dangers hidden within the structure. Framed as a seemingly routine job that quickly escalates, Motorslice blends high-intensity action with quieter, more introspective moments as players push deeper into its world.

With its release now complete, Motorslice brings together parkour traversal, challenging combat, and a distinct visual style, positioning itself as a new entry in the action-adventure genre inspired by movement-driven titles.
