Nagoshi Studio Website Goes Offline Amid Ongoing Closure Speculation

Nagoshi Studio’s official website has gone offline, further fueling speculation that the studio may be shutting down following reported funding cuts from NetEase.

Visitors attempting to access the studio’s English website are currently unable to reach the page. The development follows earlier reports that Nagoshi Studio’s official YouTube channel had also disappeared, with trailers and promotional material for the studio’s debut project, Gang of Dragon, no longer publicly accessible.

Despite the growing speculation, Nagoshi Studio has not released any official statement regarding its future or the status of Gang of Dragon. The studio’s account on X remains active at the time of writing.

Concerns surrounding the studio first emerged after reports claimed NetEase planned to halt funding for Nagoshi Studio as part of broader investment reductions across its gaming business. Bloomberg previously reported that employees had been informed financing would end in May.

The timing of the website outage and removal of promotional material has led many fans to speculate that the studio may now be in the process of closing operations, though this has not been formally confirmed.

Gang of Dragon was announced in late 2025 as the first project from Nagoshi Studio following Toshihiro Nagoshi’s departure from Sega in 2021. The game was described as a cinematic action-adventure title set in Tokyo’s Kabukicho district with a crime-focused narrative.

Neither Nagoshi Studio nor NetEase has publicly commented on the website outage, the missing YouTube channel, or the reported status of Gang of Dragon.
