Nintendo has announced the September 2026 update for NES Nintendo Classics, adding three classic Nintendo Entertainment System titles to the service. The latest additions are Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, Ikari Warriors and R.C. Pro-Am II.
Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom is the third and final entry in the classic Ninja Gaiden saga. Players take control of Ryu Hayabusa, the final member of the Dragon Clan, as he battles the forces of evil and investigates the truth behind Irene’s death.
Ikari Warriors And R.C. Pro-Am II Join The Line-Up
The NES Classics September 2026 update also adds Ikari Warriors, the 1987 action shooter in which players take control of warriors Paul and Vince as they attempt to destroy an enemy nation. The game features limited ammunition, with players able to resupply from defeated enemies and use power-ups while also piloting tanks and helicopters.
R.C. Pro-Am II, originally released in 1992, brings arcade-style radio-controlled racing to the service. The sequel features 24 tracks and supports up to two players, with competitors able to collect items during races and spend prize money on upgrades and specialist parts at the R.C. Model Shop.
The racing game also includes two bonus events, Tug O’ Truck Challenge and The Drag Race, where players can compete for additional cash prizes and championship points.
