New Tomb Raider Possibly Leaked Via Casting Script
A brand new Tomb Raider game may be in the works, based on a leaked voice over casting script that hints at such a possibility.
According to the casting script, the project is codenamed ‘Jawbreaker’. The game is said to have a grounded tone with fantastical elements. The voice actor for the protagonis, Lara Croft, is British and in her 30s, with an athletic build and a height of 5’6″. The Lara featured in this iteration of the series is experienced, with years of “protecting artifacts” and adventures in her list of accomplishments.

While Lara’s father had a key role to play in her previous adventures, the story in the new Tomb Raider is said to have left the familial drama behind. Her adventures have given rise to a new generation of Tomb Raiders, who have apparently teamed up with her in order to face a mysterious cataclysm. Forming a team is said to be a way for Lara to cope with her loneliness.
The previous game entry in the series, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, is a 2018 action-adventure video game developed by Eidos-Montréal. It is the third and final installment of the Survivor trilogy and carries on the story from the 2015 video game Rise of the Tomb Raider. It is also the series’ 12th mainline entry. Initially, the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows versions of the game were made available globally. The game was later ported to Linux, macOS, and Stadia in November 2019. A season pass and independent releases of downloadable content were made available for the game after its initial release.
Lara’s prior adventure takes her across the tropical areas of the Americas to the fabled city Paititi, battling the paramilitary group Trinity and attempting to halt a Mayan catastrophe she has set in motion. It is set around a year after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider. While exploring semi-open hubs, Lara must navigate the terrain, engage opponents with weapons, and use stealth to avoid detection. In these hubs, she can take on side quests, raid challenge tombs to earn additional prizes, and scavenge for supplies to make valuable materials.
