Nintendo could hold its next general Nintendo Direct on September 10, according to a new report from YouTuber SwitchForce. The date has not been officially confirmed by Nintendo, although a separate post from Ubisoft appears to point towards the same date.
SwitchForce has previously shared accurate information about Nintendo Direct presentations, although it is unclear whether the September 10 date is based on an inside source or a prediction. The YouTuber has reportedly stated that the next general Direct will take place on Thursday, September 10.
Additional evidence has now emerged from Ubisoft. The developer appears to have accidentally referenced the same date while addressing leaked information about Just Dance: Decades of Hits.
Ubisoft Appears To Confirm September 10
Ubisoft published a statement on X addressing gameplay footage and visual assets for Just Dance: Decades of Hits that had circulated online. The company said some of the leaked material represented early or unfinished versions of the game and warned that it may not reflect the final product.
“We’re committed to sharing the complete picture with you on September 10, and we sincerely thank you for your patience and continued support in the meantime.”
Ubisoft has historically used Nintendo Direct presentations to reveal new mainline Just Dance games, making the reference particularly relevant to speculation surrounding the next Nintendo presentation.
The leaked Just Dance material reportedly originated after dataminers and community members accessed assets from Ubisoft’s backend systems and staging networks, following premature publication of product pages by retailers.
More Nintendo Direct Announcements Could Be Coming
The reported date follows other claims about announcements planned for Nintendo’s next general Direct. Capcom is reportedly preparing several reveals, including a potential announcement for Ace Attorney 7 and additional information about Mega Man: Dual Override.
Capcom could also use the presentation to provide the first substantial details about Monster Hunter Wilds on Nintendo Switch 2. While Capcom has confirmed the game for Nintendo’s new console, it has not yet shown or detailed the Switch 2 version.
Nintendo has not announced the September Direct at this stage. However, the reported date from SwitchForce and Ubisoft’s reference to September 10 provide two separate indications that a presentation could be scheduled for that day.
Until Nintendo makes an official announcement, the September 10 date should be treated as unconfirmed.
