Persona 5 Royal Rated In Australia With Added Warning of “Violence”

Persona 5 Royal is getting an official announcement for a Western release date soon, as shared by Atlus USA. It has been now rated in Australia.

Persona 5 Royal is an expanded version of the original game that has already launched in Japan. It includes a whole new act at the end of the game in addition to offering new characters, gameplay features, and more. The game still doesn’t have a Western release date aside from a vague Spring 2020 release window, but that is expected to change soon.

Atlus USA has teased an announcement of the release date for Persona 5 Royal, which will be revealed on December 3rd. If you go to the official website for the game, there is a countdown timer with the message that the truth will be revealed soon.

Ahead of this announcement, the game has been rated in Australia. What’s interesting is that if we compare the original Persona 5 rating with the Royal rating, the new addition for parental guidance is violence despite the rating being the same MA15+ as the original game. The new rating suggests “strong sexualised imagery and violence” for P5 Royal.

The game is confirmed for the PS4 only and has launched in Japan at the end of October. It was rumored that the game might launch in March 2020 but that wasn’t officially confirmed. If this new announcement is for the release date, we might find out soon about it.
