Details regarding the review embargo for S-Game’s upcoming wuxia action role-playing game, Phantom Blade Zero, have been revealed.
Fans of action role-playing games will soon be able to find out what critics have to say about Phantom Blade Zero. The eagerly anticipated title puts players in the role of Soul, a skilled assassin working for a mysterious and influential organization called The Order. His life takes a dark turn when he is falsely accused of killing the organization’s leader, forcing him to flee from those who once considered him one of their own. After suffering a deadly heart injury, Soul is brought back to life with a corrupted heart, leaving him with just a few days to survive. Set in the mysterious Phantom World, the game follows his desperate quest to heal his heart and uncover the hidden plot behind his downfall.
What Is the Review Embargo Date for Phantom Blade Zero?
The review embargo for Control Resonant is expected to lift at the beginning of next week on October 26, 2026, around 3 days ahead of the game’s release.
Additionally, the pre-load for Phantom Blade Zero will be live for PlayStation 5 on October 26, 2026, at 7 PM Pacific Time, 10 PM Eastern Time, 2 AM GMT, and 4 AM CEST, with a download size of 134.857 GB. The pre-load will come with the latest version pre-installed for anyone who pre-ordered a copy, though an update may be rolled out closer to the game’s launch.
It was recently revealed by Play-Asia that Phantom Blade Zero won’t receive a physical PS5 release, with the retailer removing the game’s listing and confirming the lack of a physical edition to a customer via email. “Upon checking, we understand that you’re asking about Phantom Blade Zero for PS5. Kindly note that the item has already been removed from our listing, as we have been informed that there will not be a physical edition available,” Play-Asia said.
Phantom Blade Zero is set for release on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC on October 29, 2026.
