Sony Delays PlayStation Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers Indefinitely Due to Production Issue

Sony Interactive Entertainment has indefinitely delayed the launch of its PlayStation Pulse Elevate wireless speakers after discovering a production issue during quality testing. The speakers were originally scheduled to launch worldwide on November 12, 2026, but the company has now postponed their release without announcing a replacement date.

In an update published on November 6, Sony confirmed that the problem was identified during ongoing quality testing. The company said it decided to delay the launch to ensure the speakers meet its intended standards before reaching customers.

Sony apologized for the delay and thanked customers for their patience, adding that it hopes to bring the product to players soon. However, the company did not provide a revised launch window.

The PlayStation Pulse Elevate delay comes just days before the speakers were due to arrive globally. Sony had previously announced pricing of $219.99 in the United States, €219.99 in Europe, and £199.99 in the United Kingdom.

Designed for PS5, PC, Mac, and mobile devices, the Pulse Elevate speakers feature studio-inspired planar magnetic drivers alongside built-in woofers. They are intended to deliver high-fidelity audio and support Sony’s Tempest 3D AudioTech for compatible games.

The speakers also use PlayStation Link wireless technology, which supports ultra-low-latency, lossless audio. Bluetooth connectivity can operate simultaneously, allowing users to connect another compatible device while using PlayStation Link.

Other features include an AI-enhanced noise-rejection microphone for voice chat, dedicated charging docks, and a portable design with up to 12 hours of battery life.

Sony has not disclosed the nature of the production issue or indicated how long it expects the delay to last.
