PlayStation Confirms Four Playable Games At TGS 2026

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced its PlayStation TGS 2026 lineup, confirming four upcoming PS5 games will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Visitors will be able to try Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Marvel’s Wolverine and Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve at the PlayStation booth.

Tokyo Game Show 2026 will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from September 17 to September 21. The four playable titles include Marvel’s Wolverine from PlayStation Studios, alongside three games from publisher partners.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is described as a major expansion continuing the story of Monster Hunter Wilds. The expansion will introduce new fields, monsters, enhanced Hunter actions and Master Rank quests.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation will also be playable, giving attendees an early look at the final entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. The game is scheduled to release in spring 2027.

Marvel’s Wolverine And Ace Combat 8

Marvel’s Wolverine will be available to play at the show shortly after its September 15 release. Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games, the action adventure game will allow attendees to experience its combat using Wolverine’s adamantium claws.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve will also be playable at the PlayStation booth. Bandai Namco’s upcoming flight action game is described as the latest mainline entry in the series and marks the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

PlayStation Plus subscribers with a Japan-region PlayStation account will also have access to advance reservations for the playable demos. Sony said further details about the reservation process will be announced later.

The PlayStation booth will also feature a new Premium Lounge for content creators, alongside developer talks, gameplay demonstrations and other programming. Visitors who try one of the playable games will receive a PlayStation Original PVC Mini Pouch with Carabiner, with designs based on PlayStation, Astro Bot, Doko Demo Issyo and Ape Escape.

Tokyo Game Show 2026 will be open to business visitors on September 17 and 18, followed by public days from September 19 through September 21. The event will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.
