For the uninitiated, Lego 2K Drive is a Lego-themed racing game that was developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K. It was released on May 19, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Played from a third-person perspective, Lego 2K Drive is set in BrickLandia and features various regions for players to explore. The game offers destructible environments, a trait that is common in Lego games. Apart from progressing through the storyline, players can take on various mini-games and challenges within the game’s world. The game allows players to construct their vehicles using 1,000 unique LEGO pieces, with options from Lego City and Lego Creator also available. Vehicles have the ability to transform, similar to the concept in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. For example, a land-based vehicle can change into a boat when driven into water. Lego 2K Drive also offers cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes, two-player split-screen, and six-player online play.
