PS Plus Essential November 2023 Games Lineup Includes Mafia II: Definitive Edition

The PS Plus Essential lineup for the month of November, 2023, has been revealed, and among the prominent additions to its catalog is 2K Games’ Mafia II: Definitive Edition.

The PlayStation Blog has officially announced the lineup of titles that are set to be available to PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers in the month of November. The games will be available for download starting Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

The games that are available for PS Plus Essential subscribers in the month of November, 2023 are as follows:

Mafia II: Definitive Edition (PS4)
Dragon Ball: The Breakers (PS4)
Aliens Fireteam Elite (PS4, PS5)

The latest additions to PS Plus Essential will be available to subscribers starting from Tuesday, November 7, 2023 up until Monday, December 4, 2023. PlayStation Plus members have until Monday, November 6 to add the October, 2023 lineup i.e. The Callisto Protocol (PS4/PS5), Farming Simulator 22 (PS4/PS5), and Weird West (PS4/PS5).

For the uninitiated, Mafia II is a 2010 action-adventure game developed by 2K Czech and published by 2K. It was released on August 24, 2010, for PlayStation 3, Windows, and Xbox 360. The game serves as a standalone sequel to the 2002 title, Mafia, and is the second entry in the Mafia series. It is set in the fictional city of Empire Bay from 1945 to 1951, and it follows the story of Vito Scaletta, a young Sicilian-American mobster and war veteran. Vito becomes entangled in a power struggle among the city’s Mafia crime families while trying to settle his father’s debts and improve his lifestyle.

A remastered version of Mafia II, titled Mafia II: Definitive Edition, was released on PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One on May 19, 2020. Later, the Definitive Edition was bundled with Mafia: Trilogy, released on September 25, 2020. The trilogy pack also includes a remake of the first game, titled Mafia: Definitive Edition, and a version of Mafia III with all story expansion packs.
