Replaced Update 1163 Improves Platforming and Save Stability

by Ali Haider

Sad Cat Studios has released a small bug-fixing update for Replaced, addressing several gameplay and progression-related issues reported by players. Update 1163 mainly focuses on achievement tracking, platforming reliability, save stability, and combat interactions during traversal sequences.

The patch also improves platforming consistency on lower-performing devices, which should help reduce issues involving monkey bar grabs and movement timing. A few chapter loading and save-state problems have also been corrected.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issues related to achievement unlocks
  • Fixed a monkey bar collider issue in area 2-3-1 that could cause unintended self-grabs after exiting
  • Addressed rare platforming issues on lower-performing devices, including failed monkey bar grabs
  • Players can now use the pickaxe during platforming with any melee attack button
    • Both X and B buttons are now supported on Xbox
    • Increased the reaction window for platforming attacks
  • Fixed an issue that could trigger multiple game loads from chapter select
  • Fixed cases where game progress failed to save after collecting lore items

Replaced launched worldwide on April 14, 2026, for PC and Xbox Series X/S, including availability through Xbox Game Pass. Developed by Sad Cat Studios and co-published by Coatsink and Thunderful, the cinematic action-platformer follows the AI entity R.E.A.C.H. through a dystopian alternate 1980s America filled with environmental traversal, melee combat, and narrative-driven exploration.
