Rockstar Games will apparently release trailer 3 for its upcoming open-world action-adventure game, GTA VI, sometime “this summer.”
In its new financial filing for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, Take-Two Interactive may have revealed when fans can expect trailer 3 for GTA VI. The company stated, “[Rockstar Games] released its first trailer for the title in December, 2023, and the second in May, 2025, and will share more details this summer.”
The mention appears in a section outlining Rockstar Games’ current strategy and long-term business plans. While the filing does not specifically mention a third trailer, the company referenced the first two trailers before assuring “more details this summer.” Given the marketing pattern established so far, the statement implies either a new trailer, pre-order details, or both. Rockstar Games has remained relatively quiet about GTA VI since the release of the second trailer in May, 2025.
The filing also reiterates that GTA VI is currently planned for release on November 19, 2026, during Take-Two’s fiscal year 2027. The next entry in the new Grand Theft Auto series is set to be one of the most anticipated launches in gaming history, as it is expected to build upon the enormous success of its predecessor. Take-Two Interactive noted that GTA V has now “sold-in over 225 million units worldwide,” while the overall Grand Theft Auto franchise has surpassed 465 million units sold globally.
Outside of Grand Theft Auto, the filing highlights Rockstar Games’ overall strategy of focusing on a smaller number of premium releases with long-term monetization opportunities through online features, downloadable content, virtual currency, and in-game purchases. Gaming insider Graczdari recently claimed that Rockstar Games is preparing to release trailer 3 for GTA VI next week alongside an appearance during PlayStation’s upcoming State of Play presentation on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
