SEGA has revealed that Stranger Than Heaven and Persona 4 Revival are attracting more wishlist registrations than some of its previous major releases. The company’s fiscal Q2 2027 presentation also showed a strong quarter for Persona, with sales of the series climbing to 1.19 million units.

According to SEGA’s Q2 2027 presentation, Stranger Than Heaven has surpassed 1 million wishlist registrations, a milestone the company first announced on September 3. The game, which launches on January 15, 2027, is tracking ahead of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth at the same point before release, based on registrations measured 13 weeks before launch.

SEGA also revealed that roughly half of those who registered Stranger Than Heaven on their wishlists are new customers who haven’t previously purchased an RGG Studio game. The company attributed this interest to marketing campaigns targeting newcomers alongside existing fans.

Persona 4 Revival is performing even better in terms of total registrations, having passed 2 million wishlists ahead of its February 18, 2027 release. SEGA compared its performance against Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio, with the upcoming remake tracking ahead of both titles at 18 weeks before launch.

The company said a significant portion of those interested in Persona 4 Revival have previously purchased multiple Persona games. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also scheduled for May 20, 2027.

Persona’s growing popularity was reflected in SEGA’s quarterly software sales. The franchise sold 1.19 million units during Q2, compared to 750,000 during the same period last year and 1.04 million in the previous quarter.

SEGA linked the increase to the initial announcements of Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6, including their appearances at Summer Game Fest 2026. Sales growth was particularly strong in North America and Asia.

Other major SEGA franchises delivered mixed results during the quarter. Sonic sold 990,000 units, down from 1.45 million a year earlier, while Total War declined from 490,000 to 350,000 units. Like a Dragon, including Judgment, performed better, with sales increasing from 550,000 to 640,000 units.

SEGA’s broader financial results also improved during the first half of fiscal 2027. Group revenue increased from ¥201.1 billion to ¥212.5 billion, while operating income rose from ¥10.0 billion to ¥14.2 billion. Profit attributable to owners of the parent company reached ¥10.9 billion, compared to ¥2.7 billion during the same period last year.
