Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition has surfaced at Best Buy for Nintendo Switch 2, adding further weight to reports that Sega is preparing a new version of the open-world platformer for Nintendo’s latest system.

The retailer listing prices the game at $49.99 and lists a June 23 release date. According to the product page, the package includes the base game along with several post-launch updates and bonus items.

Best Buy’s description states that the Definitive Edition includes “The Final Horizon” story campaign, as well as the “Sights, Sounds, and Speed” and “Sonic’s Birthday Bash” content updates.

Players will also receive several bonus in-game items, including the Explorer’s Treasure Box, the “Monster Hunter” Collaboration Pack, “Sonic Adventure 2” Shoes, and the Holiday Cheer Suit.

The listing further notes that the release includes a digital art book and a mini soundtrack alongside the base game.

Sonic Frontiers originally launched in 2022 and saw Sega support the title with a series of free content updates, culminating in The Final Horizon expansion. While Sega has not formally announced a Nintendo Switch 2 version, retail listings and ratings board classifications have repeatedly pointed to the existence of a Definitive Edition.

With Sonic’s birthday celebrations taking place on June 23, Sega could officially reveal the game during the event.
