Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Design To Be Changed After Backlash

Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer was released earlier this month by Paramount Pictures. It is the first live-action Sonic movie based on the popular iconic hero. As expected though, the design of Sonic the Hedgehog generated quite a controversy online and on social media.

Sonic’s design is completely different from his game or media look that has been shown so far. He looks more like a human boy with the face of a Hedgehog than the traditional Sonic look where he has long legs and short body but with a big face and eyes. We actually prefer this fan-made design than the official one.

Sonic the Hedgehog fans have taken it to themselves to fix the design and there are hundreds of image available to view on social media that claim to have improved it, and Paramount Pictures has taken note of these complaints. The movie director, Jeff Fowler, has taken it to Twitter to confirm that he will address the changes with an update to the design of Sonic the Hedgehog.

This upcoming movie by Paramount Pictures features an original storyline and stars Jim Carrey as Dr. Eggman, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter and James Marsden. It will be out on November 7th, 2019 in theatres worldwide. The first trailer for the movie went viral quickly but had a huge like to dislike ratio over at YouTube with a lot of complaints surrounding its design, which is reportedly going to be changed now leading up to the movie’s launch.
