Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Trailer Gives Us Our First Look At Sonic

Sonic is getting a movie in Hollywood, which if history is any indication, was never supposed to work as intended. The first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie has dropped so take a look at the human-hedgehog hybrid design of Sonic in this upcoming movie.

Sonic the Hedgehog movie is based on an original concept where Sonic lives in the world of humans complete with his own hideout. Jim Carrey appears to take on his signature vintage role again with Dr. Robotnik, also known as Dr. Eggman. Sonic keeps his trademark blue color but what’s different for the movie the weird human-hedgehog hybrid that the producers have picked for the movie.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

James Marsden plays the role of a cop who stumbles onto Sonic which leads him to a quest to save Sonic from the clutches of the evil scientist Dr. Robotnik. Sonic apparently has a mysterious power which is what Eggman is after in the movie and James Marsden’s character, Tom Wachowski decides to help him and save the world.

Sonic the Hedgehog movie will be out this November in theatres. It stars Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Jim Carrey, and Tika Sumpter.
