Spyro: A Realm Beyond Trailer Surpasses 10 Million Views, Outperforming Crash Bandicoot 4 Reveal

The reveal trailer for Spyro: A Realm Beyond has surpassed 10 million views, reaching a level of engagement that exceeds the announcement trailer for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time despite being online for only a short period.

At the time of writing, the Spyro: A Realm Beyond trailer has accumulated more than 10 million views, alongside approximately 32,000 likes and over 5,000 comments. By comparison, the reveal trailer for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, which was released around five years ago, has generated roughly 6 million views, 5,000 likes, and 400 comments.

The strong early performance highlights the enthusiasm surrounding Spyro’s return. Announced during the recent Xbox Games Showcase, Spyro: A Realm Beyond is the character’s first fully original mainline adventure in nearly 20 years. Developed by Toys for Bob in Unreal Engine 5, the game introduces unrestricted dragon flight, allowing players to move seamlessly between aerial and ground exploration across significantly larger environments than those seen in previous entries.

The story follows a slightly older Spyro who finds himself stranded in a mysterious new land. Alongside a cast of new allies, he must confront an invading faction known as the Scavs and protect the realm from an emerging threat. The game is currently scheduled to launch in spring 2027.

The comparison is particularly notable given Toys for Bob’s history with both franchises. The studio previously developed Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, which launched in 2020 and was praised for modernizing the classic platforming formula through the introduction of Quantum Masks and dimension-shifting gameplay mechanics.

While trailer view counts do not necessarily translate directly into sales, the early numbers suggest that Spyro: A Realm Beyond has generated substantial interest and could become one of the most anticipated platforming releases of 2027.
