New details have emerged for Nintendo’s upcoming Star Fox title on Switch 2, including its pricing, file size, and box art presentation ahead of release.
The game will be priced at $49.99 for the digital version, while the physical edition will retail at $59.99. The file size has also been confirmed at 14.8GB, giving a clearer idea of the game’s storage requirements on the new hardware.
In addition, the box art has been revealed, featuring the main key artwork alongside the core cast and the Star Fox logo. The design aligns with the game’s updated visual direction, which reimagines the classic Star Fox 64 with more detailed character models and environments.
Nintendo previously confirmed that the new Star Fox title is scheduled to launch on June 25 for Switch 2. The game presents a more cinematic take on the original, with fully voiced story sequences and expanded gameplay systems. Players will once again take control of Fox McCloud, joined by familiar team members as they face Andross and attempt to protect the Lylat System.
Gameplay retains the series’ signature aerial combat, including barrel rolls, boosts, and branching mission paths that affect progression. Additional modes, such as Campaign and Challenge, offer structured experiences, while a Battle Mode supports 4 vs 4 multiplayer matches.
The Switch 2 version also introduces new control features, including Joy-Con 2 mouse functionality for aiming and cooperative play options that split roles between pilot and gunner. GameChat integration further expands multiplayer interaction with added social elements.
With pricing and technical details now confirmed, the new Star Fox release continues to take shape ahead of its planned launch.
