Street Fighter 6 Year 4 Adds Tifa, Bosch, and New Fighters

Capcom has unveiled the Year 4 roster for Street Fighter 6, confirming four new fighters set to join the game’s expanding lineup over the next year. The newly announced roster includes Final Fantasy VII Remake series character Tifa, alongside original fighters Yasmine and Arjun, as well as World Tour character Bosch.

The announcement was made during Summer Game Fest 2026, where Capcom debuted a new trailer showcasing the incoming roster and providing a first look at each character’s background and fighting style. The Year 4 lineup follows the theme of “Unbridled Strength,” bringing together a mix of guest characters, newcomers, and familiar faces from Street Fighter 6’s story mode.

The first fighter to arrive will be Yasmine, who is scheduled to join the game in Summer 2026, with a current release date of August 3. Hailing from the Philippines, Yasmine is a high school student searching for her missing brother. Although she is described as quiet and reserved, she becomes a confident and agile combatant in battle, using a crescent-shaped karambit and fast, dance-like movements inspired by lessons passed down from her grandfather.

Arjun is set to follow in Autumn 2026. A former police officer from India, he now lives as a fugitive after being accused of murdering a fellow officer. His fighting style combines powerful breathing techniques with martial arts, allowing him to unleash devastating attacks through what Capcom calls Bare-knuckle Yoga. His story revolves around clearing his name while searching for the real culprit behind the crime.

One of the biggest surprises of the reveal is Tifa’s addition to the roster. The iconic Final Fantasy VII heroine is scheduled to arrive in Early 2027, marking a major crossover between Capcom and Square Enix. In Street Fighter 6’s storyline, Tifa is unexpectedly transported to another world during her travels and encounters a new cast of fighters. A master of Zangan-ryu Martial Arts, she specializes in aggressive close-range combat and incorporates special powers known as Abilities into her fighting style.

Rounding out the Year 4 roster is Bosch, who will join the game in Spring 2027. Players were first introduced to Bosch in Street Fighter 6’s World Tour mode, where he played a central role in the narrative. According to Capcom, Bosch leaves his homeland of Nayshall in pursuit of true strength and eventually claims victory in the nation’s sacred martial arts tournament. After traveling to Metro City, he trains under Luke and blends modern combat methods with the traditional techniques of Nayshall’s warrior culture.

Alongside the character reveal, Capcom announced that the Year 4 Character Pass and Year 4 Ultimate Pass are available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, while Nintendo Switch 2 players can pre-order the passes ahead of release.

The Character Pass grants access to all four fighters, Outfit 1 color variations 3 through 10 for each character, and 3,000 Drive Tickets. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Pass includes all Character Pass content as well as Outfit 2 and Outfit 3 for every fighter, complete with their additional color variants, plus an extra 2,800 Drive Tickets.

Capcom also confirmed that Street Fighter 6 and Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition are currently available at discounted prices for a limited time, with discounts of 50% and 35%, respectively.

With Yasmine set to kick off the new season in August and Tifa’s arrival already generating significant attention among fighting game and RPG fans alike, Street Fighter 6’s fourth year is shaping up to be one of the game’s most notable content updates yet. More details on each character’s gameplay and release plans are expected to be revealed closer to their individual launches.
