Subnautica 2 appears to be the latest major game affected by a pre-release leak, with screenshots and gameplay footage reportedly surfacing online ahead of the title’s planned early access launch.

The game seems to be available for download on major piracy websites. We can confirm that the game files are accessible and that it can be played; however, we were unable to test it ourselves. Nonetheless, screenshots and footage from the game have leaked online.

The leaked material appears to show various parts of the game. At the time of writing, Unknown Worlds Entertainment has not publicly commented on the authenticity of the leaked files or footage.

The reported leak follows several other high-profile incidents involving unreleased games in recent weeks. Forza Horizon 6 previously leaked online before launch, while Death Stranding 2 was also reportedly affected by pre-release distribution leaks.

Subnautica 2 is currently scheduled to enter early access on May 14, 2026 for PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store alongside Xbox Series X/S. The game is also planned to launch day one through Xbox Game Pass.

Developed and published by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, the sequel moves the series to a new alien planet and introduces optional four-player cooperative multiplayer for the first time in the franchise, alongside the traditional solo survival experience.

Players will once again explore dangerous underwater environments while gathering resources, constructing bases and vehicles, and uncovering mysteries hidden beneath the planet’s oceans. The sequel also expands crafting systems and introduces new biomes, creatures, and survival mechanics.
