Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Switch 2 Comparison Highlights Strong Visual Performance

A new technical comparison for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle suggests the Nintendo Switch 2 version delivers a surprisingly strong portable adaptation of MachineGames’ action-adventure title.

The comparison, which used Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5 as benchmarks, highlighted the effectiveness of DLSS on Nintendo’s new hardware. According to the analysis, the Switch 2 version produces noticeably sharper image quality than the Xbox Series S in several scenarios despite operating with somewhat lower overall graphical settings.

The report notes that the most visible visual compromises on Switch 2 appear in distant geometry detail, shadow quality, and vegetation animation. Even so, the overall presentation was described as highly comparable to the other console versions.

Performance-wise, the Switch 2 release runs at a locked 30fps. While the frame rate was described as stable, the comparison noted that the limitation is more noticeable because of the game’s first-person perspective.

Despite the reduced frame rate, the analysis concluded that the Switch 2 version remains “a solid port and a great experience” that does not significantly sacrifice the overall experience compared to other platforms outside of the performance difference.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle launched for Nintendo Switch 2 on May 12, 2026 following earlier releases on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

Developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks, the game takes place between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. Players control Indiana Jones as he investigates a global mystery tied to ancient power and the secret of the “Great Circle.”

The game combines first-person exploration, cinematic action sequences, stealth gameplay, environmental puzzles, and whip-based traversal across locations including Rome, Egypt, and the Himalayas.
