Capcom has reported record financial results for FY2026, with Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, and Devil May Cry continuing to drive the company’s long-term growth strategy.

According to the company’s latest financial reports, Capcom generated net sales of ¥195.3 billion alongside operating profit of ¥75.2 billion during FY2026, marking its thirteenth consecutive year of operating profit growth. The Digital Contents segment remained the company’s largest business area with ¥144.2 billion in sales.

Resident Evil emerged as Capcom’s strongest franchise during the fiscal year. Resident Evil Requiem sold 6.91 million units following its launch in February 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Older Resident Evil titles also continued posting strong catalog sales. Capcom reported FY2026 sales of 3.69 million units for Resident Evil 4, 3.62 million for Resident Evil Village, 3.46 million for Resident Evil 3, 2.91 million for Resident Evil 2, and 2.61 million for Resident Evil 7 biohazard.

Monster Hunter remained another major pillar for the company. Monster Hunter Wilds surpassed 11 million cumulative sales, while Monster Hunter Rise and Sunbreak continued generating significant catalog revenue. Capcom noted that total catalog sales reached a record 49.46 million units during the fiscal year.

The company also highlighted continued momentum for Street Fighter 6, which sold 2.04 million units during FY2026 and surpassed 6 million units sold overall. Capcom credited esports events, new platform releases, and broader media initiatives for the game’s ongoing growth.

Devil May Cry 5 additionally saw renewed success, selling 2.71 million units during FY2026. Capcom specifically linked the increase to Netflix’s animated adaptation released in April 2025, which the company says boosted franchise awareness and game sales worldwide.

Looking ahead, Capcom confirmed that PRAGMATA and Onimusha: Way of the Sword are among its key upcoming releases. The company stated that PRAGMATA launched in April as a new science-fiction IP, while Onimusha: Way of the Sword remains scheduled for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Nintendo Switch 2 also appears to be a major focus for Capcom moving forward. The company repeatedly emphasized support for the platform through both new releases and catalog ports, citing titles such as Resident Evil Requiem and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.

The report further shows Capcom’s continued transition toward digital sales. Digital revenue increased 21% year-over-year, while physical sales declined 10%. Digital units accounted for 93% of total game sales during FY2026, with PC representing more than half of all digital purchases.

Capcom also reiterated its long-term ambition to eventually reach 100 million annual game sales globally through continued expansion of its major franchises, multiplatform releases, esports initiatives, media adaptations, and long-term catalog sales strategy.
