Ubisoft has confirmed that The Division Resurgence PC version will launch as a free-to-play title on August 5 through both Ubisoft Connect and Steam.
The announcement marks the game’s full release on Ubisoft Connect following its early access period, while Steam players will also be able to download the third-person shooter RPG for free when it becomes available next week.
Alongside the release date, Ubisoft has published updated PC system requirements for the game. The minimum specification targets 1080p at 30 FPS using the Low graphics preset and requires an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3400G processor, Intel UHD 630 integrated graphics, 8 GB of dual-channel RAM, Windows 11 with DirectX 11, and 30 GB of storage on an SSD.
For players targeting 1080p at 60 FPS on High settings, Ubisoft recommends an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (4 GB), AMD Radeon RX 5500 (4 GB) or Intel Arc A380 (6 GB), alongside 8 GB of dual-channel memory.
The 2K High preset at 60 FPS calls for an Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor, combined with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 (6 GB), AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (8 GB) or Intel Arc A580 (8 GB). For 4K gameplay at 60 FPS on the Very High preset, Ubisoft recommends an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor together with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (6 GB), AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT (6 GB) or Intel Arc A750 (8 GB).
The Division Resurgence supports full cross-play and cross-progression between PC, iOS and Android, allowing players to continue their progress across platforms.
Set in New York City, the free-to-play title features a standalone story that can be played solo or in teams of up to 4 players. Alongside its shared open world, the game includes PvPvE modes such as Dark Zone and Conflict, as well as RPG progression, gear customisation and multiple specialisations that players can switch between during gameplay.
Ubisoft also outlined its Year 1 content roadmap, promising new updates every 6 weeks. Planned additions include Speed Run challenges, cosmetic sets, Classified Ops passes, the launch of the PC version and a major story expansion.
