The Last of Us Part 2 Price Permanently Dropped to $39.99
Sony has dropped the official price of The Last of Us Part 2 from $59.99 to $39.99. They usually do it after some time has elapsed after the game’s launch.
If we check the official PlayStation Store, The Last of Us Part 2 is available for $39.99 now. This is the budget price for all games that have been available for more than a year. Ghost of Tsushima should also face a similar drop in price once a whole year has elapsed since the game’s launch, although it will get a new Director’s Later later this August.
The Last of Us Part 2 is one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time. It has won more than 200 games of the year awards bringing critical and commercial acclaim to Naughty Dog and PlayStation Studios. It was released on June 19, 2020, exclusively for the PS4, and has received a free update for the PS5 patching the game to run at 60 FPS.
The Last of Us Part 2 opened to a new record for Sony Interactive Entertainment with more than 5 million copies sold within 3 days of its launch.
The Last of Us Part 2 was preceded by Ghost of Tsushima in July. Both of these games ended up as critical and commercial hits for Sony Interactive Entertainment. The Last of Us is rumored to get a remake from Naughty Dog along with a TV Show that is in production at HBO and will be written by Craig Mazin. Neil Druckmann is serving as the executive producer of the upcoming show.
