In addition to Starfield, several first-party Xbox titles are expected to be present at the showcase, including games like Forza Motorsport, Hellblade 2, Fable, Perfect Dark, State of Decay 3 and likely some unannounced projects.

In related news, the Design Director for Starfield previously revealed that every prominent sci-fi movie and TV show out there has inspired the game’s development in some manner. Emil Pagliarulo took to Twitter to reveal that the game’s development has taken inspiration from just about every sci-fi movie and TV show out there. He gave the example of classics such as Space: 1999, Cowboy Bebop, Event Horizon, Silent Running, Star Wars, The Expanse, Star Trek, Aliens, and Battlestar Galactica.

Pagliarulo specifically highlighted the movie Prospect as one that has the Starfield vibe. He refrained from going into further specifics so as to avoid heading into spoiler territory. The Starfield Design Director mentioned that the game will give players the opportunity to infiltrate the Crimson Fleet as a “space cop” and report back to their superiors, and suggested that fans ought to check out the Donnie Brasco movie while they wait for the game’s launch. It has also been reported that a custom Xbox controller as well as a headset themed after Starfield are in the works.
