Xbox Live Games With Gold August 2021 Lineup Confirmed
Xbox Live Games with Gold users will be able to enjoy a slew of new games hitting the service next month including Lost Planet 3 and Yooka-Laylee.
Games with Gold users will be able to get a variety of different games in August 2021. Microsoft confirmed the list of games today in a blog post. Check out the list below.
- Darksiders III ($59.99 ERP): Available August 1 to 31
- Yooka-Laylee ($39.99 ERP): Available August 16 to September 15
- Lost Planet 3 ($19.99 ERP): Available August 1 to 15
- Garou: Mark of the Wolves ($9.99 ERP): Available August 16 to 31
Darksiders III and Yooka-Laylee are the highlights of the lineup on the Xbox One side while Lost Planet 3 and Garou: Mark of the Wolves will be playable on Xbox One (and Series X) through backward compatibility.
Darksiders III was followed by a spin-off Darksiders Genesis. It is the only game in the series to release after a long hiatus and also featured some post-launch DLCs.
Yooka-Laylee was the spiritual successor to Banjo and Kazooie. It was developed by former Rare developers who formed a new studio, Playtonic. While the game didn’t manage to garner as much success, it still received a small sequel that changed direction to a side-scrolling platformer with a lesser budget.
If you still own an Xbox 360, you can avail Lost Planet 3 and Garou: Mark of the Wolves. These will be playable on the Xbox One and Series through backward compatibility. Garou, in particular, is an excellent fighting game so it shouldn’t be missed.
