Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Update Will Fix Accessory Slot and Battle Music Bugs

Nintendo has confirmed that an upcoming update is in development for Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The patch will address two known issues affecting battle music volume and Driver accessory slots in New Game Plus.

The company has also explained the conditions that trigger the accessory slot bug, noting that equipped accessories are not lost. A release date for the update has not yet been announced.

Patch Notes

Confirmed Bug Fixes

  • An upcoming update will fix an issue where battle background music plays at a lower volume than intended.
  • An upcoming update will fix a New Game Plus issue that can reduce Driver accessory slots from three to two.

Accessory Slot Issue

  • The issue occurs after expanding Driver accessory slots to three using an Accessory Expander Kit obtained by trading Bonus EXP with a Traveling Bard in New Game Plus.
  • The bug is triggered by opening the System menu, selecting amiibo, scanning an amiibo, and receiving Bonus WP.
  • The issue does not occur when receiving amiibo rewards other than Bonus WP.
  • Accessories equipped in the missing third slot are not lost.
