Riot Games has announced that Lux and Samira will join the playable roster of 2XKO, with the reveal taking place during EVO 2026.

The two League of Legends champions were introduced through teaser trailers, while Riot confirmed that full gameplay showcases for both characters will be released later this year.

“Lux and Samira join 2XKO in 2026. Full gameplay trailers coming later this year,” Riot said alongside the announcement.

The additions expand the growing roster of the free-to-play tag-team fighter, which currently features 14 playable champions: Ahri, Akali, Blitzcrank, Braum, Caitlyn, Darius, Ekko, Illaoi, Jinx, Senna, Teemo, Thresh, Vi and Warwick.

Although Riot has yet to reveal detailed movesets, the teaser offers the first glimpse of both fighters in action ahead of their gameplay reveals.

2XKO is a free-to-play 2v2 fighting game developed by Riot Games for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Players can compete solo or with a partner, combining champion abilities and tag mechanics to create team-based strategies in online matches.

Riot has not announced release dates for Lux or Samira beyond confirming that both champions will arrive in 2026.
