Granblue Fantasy: Versus is an upcoming fighting game from Arc System Works. It has been delayed from its 2019 release to early 2020.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus is based on the popular free-to-play RPG developed by Cygames for Android, iOS, and Web Browsers. This is a spin-off game that is set in the same Granblue Fantasy world but instead of being an RPG, this is a fighting game.

The initial roster of confirmed fighters in Granblue Fantasy: Versus appears to be rather small. There are just 11 fighters in the game that will be available at launch. More fighters may be added later with DLC as a character pass containing five new fighters was also confirmed for the game.
The game comes with two different gameplay modes. There will be a traditional Versus mode but also a new RPG mode. This has been described as experiencing the game in RPG gameplay form.
According to the official website, the following fighters were confirmed to be in the game with three of them being set aside for a reveal at a later date.

- Charlotta
- Lancelot
- Percival
- Ferry
- Lowain
- Ladiva
This is in addition to the five characters that will be added to the game with the character pass. You can have a look at the new gameplay trailer with the RPG mode in action.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus RPG mode will let the players power up their characters while enjoying “a rich story” while the Versus mode appears to feature the traditional fighting game mechanics themed around the world of the game.

The game is expected to arrive in Japan on February 6, 2020. It will also get localized and release in the Western market by XSEED Games but they haven’t updated on the expected release date. There was an early beta test available a few weeks ago.
