GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Update 1.01 Patch Notes and Download Size Details

GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was released today with a day one patch that has updated the games to version 1.01.

The update size varies for all three games. According to the Twitter account PlayStationGameSize, here’s the download size of the day one update.

  • GTA III – The Definitive Edition – 1.4GB
  • GTA Vice City – The Definitive Edition – 2.38GB
  • GTA San Andreas – The Definitive Edition 4.48GB

The update is larger on PS4 compared to PS5. On the PS4, the new updates have increased the file size by more than 8 GB. The final file size of GTA: The Trilogy is now 48.5GB. The final file size of the PS5 version stands at 39GB, which is just under a 1 GB increase.

This is the extent of the patch notes that we can access on the PS4. There are no other details available from Rockstar Games on what has been added with this new update, so we are out of luck.

You can grab the games digitally for $59.99 or wait until the retail version is out in December. The games are also coming to Xbox Game Pass and PS Now, but this only applies to GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition and GTA III Definitive Edition respectively.
