Next-Generation Assassin’s Creed: Vikings Game Teased In The Division 2

Ubisoft might have just teased the next Assassin’s Creed game in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. Unlike the earlier rumor which said it was set in Rome, this one is semi-official confirming that it could be Assassin’s Creed Vikings.

Ubisoft had previously confirmed that Assassin’s Creed won’t get any new game in 2019, so if there is going to be a new one, it is likely out in 2020, which is also when the next-generation consoles like the PS5 will be out.

The most recent teaser for Assassin’s Creed: Vikings comes from another Ubisoft game, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. When the game launched, fans noticed that in one of the locations in the game, they could see a poster which shows a traveler holding the Apple of Eden. Some fans have speculated that he might be a Norse God.

Kotaku has confirmed in a report today that this teaser is indeed for the next Assassin’s Creed which is reportedly set in the Vikings era. After Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Origins which was set in Egypt, and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey set in Greece, the next setting appears to be for Vikings, which might make for some nice change of pace from the traditional Assassin’s Creed release.

Assassin’s Creed series has evolved a lot throughout the course of its history and it is now more of an action RPG than stealth focused action game like the first Assassin’s Creed. It is still one of the best selling franchise for Ubisoft.
