PS4 has sold through more than 30 million units in the USA. The combined sales of the console worldwide are more than 100 million. Here’s how it compares to the PS2.
Gaming analyst Daniel Ahmad has shared some new figures on the sales for the PS4. He has given a regional breakdown of the sales confirming the top-selling markets for PS4.

It is not a surprise that the USA remains on the top with sales of more than 30 million units. It is followed by Japan with 8.3 million, Germany at 7.2 million and the UK at 6.8 million. France is under 6 million.
The total lifetime sales of PS4 surpassed the 100 million units milestone as of July 2019. While the PS4 is still behind the PS2 in lifetime sales, the same result also applies in the USA. According to the last update given on the sales of the PS2 as of January 2013, it had sold 53.65 million units. The lifetime sales of the PS2 had reportedly surpassed 150 million so it will be interesting to see how far the PS4 can go in term of overall sales.

PS4 remains the best selling console this generation outselling its competitor the Xbox One and Nintendo Wii U. Nintendo had then released another new hybrid console with Nintendo Switch which is now closing in on 40 million sales. Sony is now preparing to release their next-generation PlayStation console which is expected to arrive in 2020.
