This extended gameplay demo is roughly 25 minutes long and while it starts to shift to the same gameplay demo near the end, the opening is different with a mix of the one seen during Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference and the other gameplay demo.
After sharing the demo, the game director Stig Asmussen also shared some details on it which weren’t revealed in the previous information blowout. He confirmed that the game is non-linear and they have taken inspiration from games like Metroid, Castlevania, and the Souls series for level design.
“The game will feature several planets that the player can elect to travel to via starship. On these worlds unique abilities and upgrades can be found that open up new paths across other planets, making retraversal an essential part of the gameplay experience, ” said Stig in an official blog post.
