The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Review Embargo Revealed

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is a remake of the Game Boy game set in the Zelda universe. Here’s when the reviews for this 3D remake will be out.

The Legend of Zelda has received only one game on the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo revealed a sequel for Breath of the Wild, the launch game for the Nintendo Switch, at E3 2019 this year. They have also announced a remake for Link’s Awakening which was originally released for the portable Nintendo Game Boy.

After the massive critical success of Breath of the Wild, the next Zelda game is more of a spin-off than a proper mainline release on the Nintendo Switch. Still, it is expected that the game will be reviewed well since most of thee impressions from the critics is quite positive for it.

According to Metacritic, the review embargo for The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is set for September 19, at 5 AM PST. This is just a full day ahead of the official release of the game. In other words, there won’t be much time to determine the critical reception and factor it in purchasing the game.

Nintendo is no stranger to such late review embargo for their games. They have done it for almost every major release this year. Despite the confidence in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, the review embargo is still set just one day early.
