It has been revealed that the review embargo for Assassin’s Creed Mirage is expected to be lifted next week on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, a day ahead of the game’s release on October 5, 2023. Fans can, therefore, look forward to hearing what critics have to say about the latest entry in the long running Assassin’s Creed series.

Those who have pre-ordered a digital copy of Assassin’s Creed Mirage can pre-load the game on PS5 starting October 3, 2023. The digital pre-load should come with the latest update pre-installed, although a day one update may be rolled out closer to the game’s launch. Additionally, the combined download size for the game on Xbox and PlayStation platforms is around 35 GB. Meanwhile, those who have physical copies of Assassin’s Creed Mirage will need to download the latest patch upon installation.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an action adventure game developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft. It marks the thirteenth major installment and follows the success of its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, released in 2020. Mirage is set in 9th-century Baghdad, a time of anarchy in Samarra. The protagonist, Basim Ibn Ishaq, who players first met in Valhalla, embarks on a transformational journey from a street thief to becoming a valued member of the Assassin Brotherhood. The game is set to be released for various platforms, including Amazon Luna, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S on October 5, 2023.
