Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey & Assassin’s Creed Origins are set to receive Nintendo Switch 2 ports, based on the latest rumor.
Known insider NWeedle took to Twitter/X to share that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is being ported over to Nintendo Switch 2. According to them, the intention is to have the port ready for the console’s launch window. The source also mentioned that ports of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Origins will also arrive on Nintendo’s next console, with the latter two set to be offered in a bundle.
The insider further clarified that, by launch window, they meant that the Nintendo Switch 2 port of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is intended to be launched within the first 6 months of the console’s launch. They also claimed that Ubisoft will bet heavily on the Nintendo Switch 2 with its lineup of titles. Furthermore, it is mentioned that Ubisoft is outsourcing to carry out work on some of these ports. A port of Ubisoft Singapore’s Skull and Bones is also currently in development.
Universo Nintendo’s Necro Felipe corroborated NWeedle’s information regarding a port of Assassin’s Creed Shadows for the Nintendo Switch successor. The other ports will likely also happen, possibly as budget priced releases or in a bundle as claimed by the insider.
Recently, content creator PaulGaleNetwork had claimed that, based on what he had heard, the Nintendo Switch 2 will receive some major third-party AAA ports, parallel releases, as well as exclusives during its launch period. Fellow content creator PlayerEssence corroborated this claim. According to Gale, a few major third-party developers, which hadn’t anticipated the Nintendo Switch taking off the way that it did and didn’t have a AAA title for the console at launch back in 2017, are working on big launch window releases for its successor.
