Black Myth Wukong Review Embargo Details Revealed

Details regarding the review embargo for Game Science’s upcoming action role-playing game, Black Myth Wukong, have been revealed.

The review embargo for Black Myth Wukong is expected to be lifted in less than a week, on Friday, August 16, 2024. This is four days ahead of game’s launch on August 20, 2024. Fans can, therefore, look forward to hearing what critics have to say about the Destined One’s journey to the West.

Additionally, the pre-load for Black Myth Wukong is expected to go live on the PlayStation Store two days prior to launch, two days after the review embargo will be lifted i.e. August 18, 2024. It will come with the latest update pre-installed for those who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to launch on August 20, 2024. Meanwhile, those who purchased a physical copy of the game will need to download the day one update.

For those who are curious, the codes for Black Myth Wukong that have been sent out so far are for the PC version. Media outlet have yet to receive a code for the PS5. Whether this has anything to do with potential issues with the console version remains a question mark. Though, journalist ignusthewise, who appears to have had hands-on time with Black Myth Wukong at Gamescom and Hanghzou, recently mentioned that concern regarding the upcoming action role-playing game’s performance on PS5 are unwarranted. He confirmed that the PS5 version is very optimized, and that the console’s devkits were also present at this year’s Gamescom and Hanghzou.
