Borderlands 3 has received its official release date. In addition to sharing the announcement trailer and detailing the deluxe edition and season pass, Gearbox Software has released a set of 4K screenshots for the game.
Borderlands 3 will arrive for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC through the Epic Games Store on September 13. It will be timed exclusive for at least six months and won’t be available on Steam and other digital platforms for PC until April 2020.
The official press release sent by Gearbox Software has shared some details on the story, characters, and gameplay modes for Borderlands 3.
The original shooter-looter returns, packing bazillions of guns and an all-new mayhem-fueled adventure! Blast through new worlds and enemies as one of four brand new Vault Hunters–the ultimate treasure-seeking badasses of the Borderlands, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization. Play solo or join with friends to take on insane enemies, collect loads of loot, and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.
The press release also included some never before seen screenshots in 4K resolution. They look great in the new Unreal Engine and seems to carry the cel-shaded aesthetics of Borderlands series.
