A new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II has appeared on the PlayStation database ahead of release.
According to PlayStation Game Size, Update 01.006.000 has been added to Sony’s database for both titles. The account also claims that the previously expected Black Ops II Update 01.005.000 has been cancelled and replaced by Update 01.006.000.
Neither Activision nor Iron Galaxy has announced the update or released patch notes, so it remains unclear what changes Update 01.006.000 will include.
The database listing follows the recent release of Update 01.005.000 for Call of Duty: Black Ops on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. That patch reduced input latency on displays supporting 120 Hz or higher refresh rates, prioritised PlayStation 5 hosts for Zombies matches, prevented Zombies sessions from falling back to PlayStation 4 hosts, and added a new option allowing players to enable or disable the visibility of other players’ custom emblems.
Until Activision publishes the official changelog, the contents of Update 01.006.000 remain unknown. The appearance of the update in the PlayStation database indicates that a new patch for both Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II may be released soon.
